State Project Assistant

Research Studies and report generation

Child Rights Trust  (CRT) )is a nongovernmental, non political, non profitable organisation established two decades ago by a group of likeminded child rights activists to advocate Child rights in India. CRT is a public charitable trust which works for and with children, without any discrimination against religion, caste, creed, gender or social status. We are basically a research, capacity building, advocacy and lobbying organisation sharing knowledge with other field based organisations, individuals, networks, Govt, media and others through workshops, campaigns. We also play the role of consultants to build capacities for developing plans of action, programmes and policy advocacy.

Child Rights Trust is registered under Indian Trust Act and also under Darpan, 12 A, 80G and FCRA

Children in Governance-Space for participation in Local and State Govt.

 Promoting Child friendly Grama Panchayats in 6 taluks of 3 districts (Dakshina Kannada, Ballary and Chikkaballapura) by strengthening child rights clubs and building capacities of GP members and concerned service providers and facilitating Child Rights Grama Sabhas.

  • Responsible for coordinate with Taluk level facilitators and in three districts (6 taluks)
  • Helping filed facilitators in planning, training  and organizing child rights clubs at village.
  • Able to conduct training and various issues of child rights.
  • Collection and compilation of the field reports form field facilitators on a regular basis in coordination with monitoring and reporting assistant.
  • Able to travel to the project areas as and when required
  • Reporting to the state coordinator on a regular basis

Bengaluru

  October 2023

Within Karnataka 

  • Masters in Journalism/ English/Social Work/ Sociology or equivalent courses with good orientation to research and use of statistics.
  • Good knowledge of using computers.
  • Good typing speed (Kannada and English) skill is a must.

Academic qualification may be relaxed for candidates with a good experience of working in the development organisations.

Remuneration will be competitive with Indian NGOs working in research and will depend on skills and experience.
