Programme : Empowering Change Makers to Build a Child-Friendly Society

Summary:
A three-day state-level training programme brought together 55 participants from 31 districts of Karnataka, including NGO personnel and child rights activists. The training focused on key child rights themes under the UNCRC—survival, protection, development, and participation.

Sessions included expert inputs, case studies, and group activities covering important laws such as the JJ Act, POCSO Act, CALPRA, and the Right to Education Act. Interactive methods like role plays and presentations enabled participants to connect legal knowledge with field realities.

The programme concluded with action planning, strengthening participants’ capacity for grassroots interventions and promoting collaborative efforts towards building a child-friendly society.
