About the Project

Children in Governance-Space for participation in Local and State Govt.

 

Promoting Child friendly Grama Panchayats in 11 taluks of 4 districts (Dakshina Kannada, Ballary, Chikkaballapura and Gadag) by strengthening Child Rights Clubs and building capacities of Grama Panchayat members and concerned service providers and facilitating Child Rights Grama Sabhas.

Within Karnataka

  • Masters in Journalism/ English/Social Work/ Sociology or equivalent courses with good orientation to research and use of statistics.
  • Good knowledge of using computers.
  • Good writing and typing (Kannada and English) skill is a must.

Academic qualification may be relaxed for candidates with a good experience of working in the field of reporting and documentation.

 

Remuneration will be competitive with Indian NGOs working in research and will depend on skills and experience.

02 Position One Coordinator - School Health and Wellness Programme
03 Nature Temporary - Continuity depends on availability of resources
04 Responsibilities Follow-up with district partners on conducting School Health and Wellness programmes.
Monitoring, reporting, and organizing trainings.
Liaisoning with partner NGOs and Govt wherever required.
Providing inputs and documenting programme progress and maintenance of MIS.
Interacting with school authorities and KCRO team.
Travelling to districts.
05 Required qualifications Knowledge of Kannada and English (Reading, writing and conversation), computer skills for documentation and communication.
MSW or relevant master's degree, experience in the field of child rights preferred.
Freshers are also encouraged to apply.
06 Compensation As per the field standards.
Travel expenses would be taken care of by the project budget.
